Joseph Urgede Olivier Letendre born 1878

My Great-grandfather is Joseph Urgede Olivier Letendre. He was born abt 1878 and died in 1935. He married Clara Salvas and they gave birth to my grandfather, Laurier Letendre who died about 1987. My search has uncovered 3 Joseph Letendres (no middle names) born around 1880. Two of them had children, but neither of those children was my grandfather (Laurier). The third Joseph Letendre (no middle name) shows no children or parents on the charts. I'm confused. I know that he and my great-grandmother lived in Quebec for sometime before moving to Massachusettes. My father tells me that Joseph's father's name might have been Noel Letendre. He also tells me that my great-great-grandfather (Noel) married an indian in Canada. It might be that my great-great-grandfather (Noel) immigrated to Canada in the 1800's, married an indian woman, gave birth to Joseph who would then be a half-breed. This seems to make good sense, and my grandfather had the appearance of someone with indian blood. Pierre Letendre's lineage doesn't seem to work for Joseph, but then again, I could be missing something. I'm not positive about the "Noel" name either. Can anyone help?
