Alexis Tender born c. 1800 in Massachusetts

I am seeking information on ALEXIS TENDER who appears on the 1850 Federal Census of Wilmington, Essex County, NY, as age 50, born in MASSACHUSETTS.

His wife is ANNIS, age 52, born in NEW YORK.

Their children who appear with them on the 1850 Census are:

Fanny Tender b. c. 1820, New York
Nancy Tender b. c. 1823, New York
Polly Tender b. c. 1825, New York
Ellen Tender b. c. 1830, New York
Clinton Tender b. c. 1834, New York
Kennedy Tender b. c. 1837, New York
Wallace W. Tender b. 10 August 1841, North Elba, Essex, NY

Wallace W. Tender appears on the Special Census of Veterans of the Civil War - Received gunshot wound during military service.

American Civil War Soldiers (at Ancestry.com):

Name: Wallace W Tender ,
Enlistment Date: 09 August 1862
Distinguished Service: DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
Side Served: Union
State Served: New York
Unit Numbers: 1377 1377
Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 09 August 1862 at the age of 21
Enlisted in Company C, 118th Infantry Regiment New York on 29 August 1862.
Mustered out Company C, 118th Infantry Regiment New York on 13 June 1865 in Richmond, VA

I also find an Alexis (Elexis) Tender who may possibly be a part of this family unit:

American Civil War Soldiers (at Ancestry.com):

Name: Elexis Tender ,
Enlistment Date: 25 February 1862
Distinguished Service: DISTINGUISHED SERVICE
Side Served: Union
State Served: New York
Unit Numbers: 1604 1604
Service Record: Enlisted as a Private on 25 February 1862 at the age of 44
Enlisted in Company C, 96th Infantry Regiment New York on 25 February 1862.
Discharged Company C, 96th Infantry Regiment New York on 24 September 1862 in Fort Monroe, VA

I have hit a wall with ALEXIS TENDER, born in Massachusetts.

On the 1880 Federal Census for the Town of Wilmington, Essex County, NY, the person giving family information to the Census Taker says that Wallace Tender's father was born in ENGLAND.

Death Certificate for Wallace W. Tender says his father was born in LaBelle, Province of Quebec, Canada.

I am hoping that ALEXIS TENDER may possibly have been born ALEXIS LeTendre and that somebody has information which will assist me in my search.
