OBITUARY: The Morning Press, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Monday, October 8, 1973
Nathan E. LeVan, 57, of 136 East Twelfth St., Bloomsburg, died at Bloomsburg Hospital Sunday evening where he had been a patient for one week. He had been in ill health for the last year and a half, and a guest at the Gold Star nursing home for the past year.
He was born in Harrisburg, son of the late Joseph D. and Anna Laubach LeVan. He was a supervisor at Bloomsburg Mills for 30 years prior to his retirement in April of 1972 due to disability.
He was a former member of the Buckhorn Lutheran Church, a social member of Bloomsburg Moose Lodge 623 and of Bloomsburg Elks Lodge 436
He is survived by his wife, Belle Rubenstein LeVan, one son, Ronald Eugene LeVan Sr., Almedia; three brothers, Ray A., Joseph and John LeVan, all of Bloomsburg R.D.1; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Celia) Kase, Danville; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two from the William S. Elwell funeral home, 325 Market St., Bloomsburg, with the Rev. Thomas Light, Buckhorn Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be made in New Rosemont, Espy.
