LEVITT-CLARKE in Lancaster, Eng?
I am looking for evidence of Thomas Levitt CLARKE's existence in England, most likely in Lancaster. His relatively unusual middle name makes me think his mother's family were LEVITTs.
Thomas Levitt CLARKE married Sarah LYON in England and they came to the Williamsport, Pennsylvania area of the US by the 1790 census. (He supposedly fought in the colonies during the Revolution.
We have found no concrete evidence of their existence in England yet. I am hoping that some enterprising LEVITT researcher may have record of a LEVITT female to a CLARKE male in the 1750s, 1760s or so.
I have more details if needed, and I have tons of descendants to share if you are interested.
Thank you,
