I want to add that Uriah Levy's grandfather might have been a surveyor for George Washington and Lord Fairfax under the Ohio Land Company. Another Jewish surveyor with him was Jacob Myers. Later in 1785 Jacob Myers along with John Cockey Owings and Paul Skidmore built the Slate Creek Iron Works at Slate Creek Kentucky mostly to make extra hard cannonballs from the slate iron in the area. Paul Skidmore was Thomas Jefferson's architect.

I have found a much closer working relationship between these families including the Dupont's, the Hamilton's, the Burrs, Robert Fulton, Robert R Livingston and Napoleon. All my data are coming from Versailles cemetery in Pittsburgh not far from where they built Meriwether Lewis boat.

Harry Dupont went to West Point with Abraham Charles Myers class of 1833. Some records show they were roommates.
