Martin - I replied personally to your email. Leyon seems to have had at least eight children and I believe seven of them were: Albert, Henry, Rosetta, Samuel, Jessy, Louisa and Henrietta. All of them took the name "Levison" after their father's death. Leyon's wife was Jessy Benjamin, I believe - she died before 1830 and the couple married extremely young. Thus, it is very credible that your Solomon could be a child of Leyon - also, since Solomon would have been five when Leyon died, it is reasonable that his upbringing would have been very different from that of the other children - and quite credible that he would have kept his name as Levy as well as his religion (which most of the others did not). Was your Solomon's son's name "Nathanael" - father of Robert Stephen? Very interesting.
