Hi Rick,
I just received some info from my sister who has been researching our family. We are decended from Peyton Lieuallen, and before this had no info on who his father was.She found the following on a Richard Llewallen (though some dates must be wrong and the last name varies in spelling):
Born about 1770 in NC, and died 1870. Married - unknown.Had 10 children:
(1) Daniel Lewallen, b. 1789 in Tennessee, d. 1849 in Jackson Co. Alabama.
(2) Cyntha Lewallen, b. about 1790.
(3) Polly Lewallen Vowell, b. about 1790.
(4) Sarah Lewallen Patton, b. 1790
(5) John Luallen, b. 1790, d. in AL
(6) Elizabeth Lewallen Tipton, b. 1793 in South Carolina, d. 1869 in AL
(7) Freeman Lewallen, b.1795, d. in AL
(8) Peyton Lieuallen, b. 1798 in Anderson Co. TN or VA, d. 1880 in Decatur Co. Iowa.
(9) Charles Lieuallen, b. about 1815, d. 1860 in Arkansas.
(10) Richard Lieuallen, b. between 1830-1835
I have further details on decendants of Daniel, John, Freeman, and Peyton if you are interested.I am wondering what info you have (or anyone else reading this message), if you can shed any light on wether the info above is correct. It looks like my Richard died much later than the one you are talking about. It is all very confusing.
Thanks for your help.
