My wife's ancestor was McLaren Lewallen (b. 15 Dec 1797, d. 8 Mar 1861). He had a brother who who was born 1794-1799 who I had never had a definitive name for, although it was suggested that it was Wiley or William. If you have definitive sources for them as brothers, I would be very interested. I have that McLaren's parents were Jonathan Lewallen (b. 7 Apr 1769, d. 4 Jun 1848 Randolph Co. NC) and his first wife. In Jonathan's will all the following children are named, but no Wiley Lewallen: McLaren, Elizabeth, Mary , Rebecca, Sarah, and Jane. He also mentions his second wife Jane and his children with her Lavinia, Dawson, Ann and John. The sister Mary Lewallen (above) is the Mary Lewallen who married to Charles Calvin Luther on 5 May 1829 in Randolph Co. NC. She is mentioned in her father's will as the wife of Charles Slack. I have no further information on her or their family. I would be interested in what happened to Mary and her family. I have a lot of other information and would like to share any info.
