George - Hi
I will respond to your 519 and 479 together. Basically, it appears that I have the same information that you have. I received some of my information from Dennis Lewallen <lewallens@earthlink.net> and some other people and have verified the information about William and Mary (Dawson) Lewelling (various spellings) as the parents of Shadrach. I have Shadrach with 6 brothers - Jonathon, Joseph, William, John, Thomas and Meshack. He had 2 sisters - Mary and Jean.
Shadrach married Sarah Hobbs in NC where they were in the Back Creek MM and reported to the Lick Creek MM in Indiana in May 1814. They had 4 sons - Elisha, Elijah, William and Thomas; 5 daus - Mary, Fannie, Jane, Absilla (sp?) and Margaret.
I am interested in their son Elisha who probably was the father of my gg-grandfather Elisha.

Apparently, Jesse and Anne (Owens) Lewelling were the parents of William, Meshack and our Shadrach. Jesse's parents apparently were Thomas and Ruth (Vernon) Lewelling. I have not yet verified the information in this last paragraph.

I would be interested in hearing more about your line.
