Is this person a Lewis descendant?

I am not a member of the Lewis family but am doing some research for a friend. She purchased a sampler from a Virginia auction a few years ago with the name and date "Susan O. Lewis 1829" clearly stitched on it. Unfortunately, I can't attach a picture of it here. In any case, the auctioneer told my friend that Susan was a relation of Meriwether Lewis, but I cannot confirm that from any public websites I've seen of his collateral descendants. Is there any evidence of such a name that would match that date in the family tree? (These samplers were often stitched by young girls, so someone as young as 6 or 7 at that time would not at all be unusual, but there's no way to know what age this one was made).

I appreciate any help, thanks.
