Obituary found in The Primitive Baptist," published in Milburnie, Wake Co., July 14, 1860....

Joshua Lewis, b. Oct. 22, 1785 in Onslow Co., NC, the son of a Baptist preacher. As a young man he moved to Stewart Co., TN; married there; moved to Louisiana near Natchez; moved back to TN; moved to Washington Co., AL, where he and his wife joined Hurricane Church and were baptized. They lived there awhile and moved to Marengo Co., AL, where he lived until the Choctaw Purchase, and then moved to Sumpter Co., AL, where he lived until his death. He died Mar. 5, 1860, consistent member and deacon of Mt. Nebo Primtive Baptist Church, Sumpter Co., AL.

I have no interest in this family and only post this as a resource.
