Will of Anthony Lewkenor, 1649, Canterbury Prob 11/214/P183

In the name of God Amen. The two and twentieth day of January Anno Dm 1649
I Anthony Lewkenor of Aston in the County of Salop being in perfect health of body and memory thankes be to god doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
First I bequeathe my soule unto the mercifull hands of my creator trusting by the merritte of my Saviour Jesus Christ of free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and for such worldly goods and estate wheresowith it hath pleased god to blesse me I do hereby dispose hereof in manner following
First I assigne my living in Aston to my wife Thomasine during her naturell life if my three lives live so longe And after her decease to my sonne Jeremy and his heires And for want of heires to my sonne Lawrence And after his decease to my daugher Elizabeth Further I doe give unto my wife all my personell estate within and without dues to pay all my debts And further I doe give to my daugher Elizabeth one hundred pounds for her porten to be paid as soon as the living shall happen to fall either to Jeremy or Lawrence And further I doe assigne my lease of Knighton after my father in law Mr.Edmond Bullock's decease unto my sonne Jeremy paying to my sonne Lawrence twenty marke every yeare during the said lease. Further I doe give to my sonne Lawrence tenne pounds year to be paid presently out of Knighton. Further I doe assure my lease of the Forest of Clunne to my sonne Jeremy. Further I doe give to my sonne Lawrence my sworde and all my wearing clothes And I doe appoint my wife my sole executor And I doe desire and appoint my father Mr.Edmond Bullock to be my Overseer of this my will to see the same carefully performed In whereof I have put my hand and seale the day and year above written Antho: Lewkenor Mary Davis Thomas Ellis
