Hi,
Thanks for all the info. Although My Fairmaners aren't directly connected, in trying to put the family together, the more connections of any kind help to home in on the years of birth - working back from wills is a bit haphazard.
My William Fayremaner married Margaret Ede, the widow of Heny Colpes b1504, and mother of Agnes Colpes.
Her first husband was John Taylor with whom she had 3 children; John, Thomas and Matthew. His will was proved 1565-6.
She then had 2 children with Richard Lewkanor, Richard and Elizabeth and was executor to both husbands.
This information is all from the Fairmaner&Colpys Pedigree at Sussex Record Office, I am trying to veriy this data, but it seems pretty good so far.
I have this copied and can email it to you if we can exchange addresses - not sure of the best way to do this on this forum.
