Neil: I wish I had the answers to all of your research problems...but I don't.
John F. Luzader an active participant on this list should be able to help you
with the Micah Luzader lineage since this is his direct line. My husband's
connection to Aaron Luzader is through his daughter Margaret who married
John Czigan on 22 Dec 1801 [MR: Monongalia Co. VA/WA Book A, page 6].
Recently, I have found one thing that is very interesting, and that is the
reference found in Melba Pender Zinn's compilation on Monongalia Co.
(W)Virginia District, Superior and County Court Records, vol. 9, 1813-1817;
pg 224, Bowie, MD: Heritage Books, Inc., 1999:
"225a - 1814, Monongalia County Court. Recommendation in change of
Military personnel: Michael Luzadder, Ensign in room of Anderson Jones
in Wilson's Company, 1814."
Wish I knew who this guy was. Could be your Micah BUT if it is this would most definitely change the estimate of his birth from 1810 to about 1800-02.
OR, is there another Michael Luzader; i.e., brother of Aaron Sr? I'm sure
John F. Luzader can help you with this.
Has the compiler erred in the transcribing of the name? I don't know but must
add Ms Zinn is highly competent in transcribing these records.
I realize the birth estimates of Aaron Sr.'s children are just estimates but I do THINK potential candidates for parentage of Micah could be Margaret b. abt 1780, John b. abt 1781, and Thomas, b. abt 1784.
I'm sorry I can't help you. I'm sure John F. Luzader can do a better job for you.
Will keep your address in my files and advise should I find something.
