The mystery deepens. The reference to Michael
in the military record could not apply to
Micah, who was born in 1810. I don't know
whose son Michael was. He could have been
the son of one of Aaron, Senior's older sons.
I am inclined to believe that he was and that
he was Micah's father, but pending the loca-
tion new information, I am uncomfortanly un-
certain. There is one lead you may wish to
pursue. At the time Micah (sometimes called
Michael) was living in Gilmer County,WV,a
John Luzader appears in the county recods,
including a marriage sometime in the 1850s.
He subsequebtly disappears from Gilmer. The
marriage record may note his parentage. I
suspct that John and Micah were brothers.
My grandfather, John, was a son of Micah
and Rachel Wiseman Luzader. One of my aunts
told me more than sixty years ago that my
grandfather was named for his uncle John.
There were and are several John Luzader,
just as there were several Aarons, Moseses,
Isaacs, and Abrahams. I am tied up in at-
tempting to complete a manuscript to send
to a publisher by early 2002. It has nothing
to do with Luzader history - its a military
history study. My Luzader notes are stored
somewhere in one of four filing cabinets, and
when I have more time, I will try to locate
them. Good luck. If you solve this one, you
will have accomplished a great deal. I have
spent more than fifty years in historical
research and have not solved all the prob-
lems that I have faced. Both us, along with Ruth, may finally succeed. John Luzader
