Abel had three sons in the Civil War and one son-in-law:
Willaim Luzader Indiana Infantry, 9th Reg., Co. B
Isaac Luzader Indiana Infantry, 9th Reg., Co. B
James Luzader Indiana Infantry, 46th Reg., Co. G
Wm. Ross Mobray Adams Ind.Infantry, 57th Reg., Co. D

William died July 4, l864, Battle of Kenesaw
buried National Cemetery at Chattanooga, TN
Section E, Grave #393

Isaac died December l6, 1894 Warren Co., Iowa
buried Odd Fellows Cemetery, Indianola, Iowa
Daughter by his second marriage is buried nearby.

James? (was in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1900 census. Father
of ten children by his second wife, Isabelle Martin.
She died in 1942, buried in Ottumwa, Iowa. However,
would like to know what happened to the first wife
Margaret Chapman and their two children. I assume
she died in the early 1870's as he remarries in
March, 1875, Warren Co., Iowa. In the 1870 census
for Newton Co.,IN both James and Isaac have farms
near Abel and Eliza's. James and Isaac each married
one of Eliza's daughters. Did both of the boys lose
their family in an epidemic? Perhaps the girls are
buried in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery next to Abel
and their mother Eliza. The family plot has room for
about ten graves, but if they are buried there, it's
without headstones. When did James die and where?)

William Ross Mobray Adams died May 9, 1865, of scurvy in
Jacksonville, Florida. Buried Beaufort National
Cemetery, Beaufort,S.Carolina

James was wounded at Barre's Landing, Louisiana,

Abel's first wife, Mary Bailey died June 6, 1849, age 28
yr, 9 mo, 1 day. She is buried in the Benham-Ginn Cemetery in Carroll Co., Indiana. Abel and second wife Eliza are buried in Newton Co., 3 miles north of Kentland in Pleasant Grove Cemetery on west side of highway 41.
