Hi John. I figure this came a little late but I wanted to reply to your message. Everything that you have found out about Jacob is exactly what I have found out as well however I have to disagree about the Native American part. There WERE natives of Cherokee and Creek descent in Virginia at or about that time. I have BOTH in both sides of my family..My grandfather is Richard Luzader and has always claimed cherokee heritage but we didn't know from where until we researched it a little further. He is in the process right now of obtaining his native heritage card from the government for proof that he IS native. His wife is EmmaJean (Moonflower)Knotts-luzader and she too is recognized by the US government as a native. With that said, Chief Little Bear was married to a (supposed)white woman only known as Elizabeth..Sarah has been referred to as Sarah Cole but she is also referred to as Sarah Cole Little Bear. We are assuming that Cole could've been her mother's maiden name.. Maybe that will help with your search? Sarah is my grandmother (several generations back)and it is to our understanding that she married a Luzader and that's how she converged into my family tree (on the luzader side). I don't know if any of that helps but his is what we know.
