Joseph Lexow, Chicago, b. Prussia ~1850

I am looking for information on Joseph Lexow; I am a great, great granddaughter.

As I understand, he was born about 1850 in Prussia. He came to the US, settling in Chicago. Bought a farm in Germantown, WI and lived there for a bit. He was married twice, widowed once. Therese (Tehnuch?) was his second wife, m. ~1884, and was also born in Prussia (Therese b. ~1863, d. ~1933). I have no info on first wife. I was told he sired ~21 children. Joseph's professions over the years included farmer, electric linotyper, railroader and store merchant.

My great grandfather, Joseph's son, was Emil Samuel (b. Feb. 21, 1898, d. 1990's). Emil married Mildred Veronica Hebel. Their children were LeRoy, Shirley, Calvin, and Jacqueline. I know very little about Emil's siblings, some were: Elsie, Henry, Harold, and Edward (all deceased).

Any additional information on Joseph's children, his first wife, and any additional family would be appreciated.

Sincerely, Karie Neukomm
