I don't see a connection, but I don't know of any brothers or sisters of Matthew. Also there is a story that he may be abopted. I would like to know where Dinglespeil is. (Dinkelsbuhl) or any other spelling as I have seen others but don't know if it is the same place. Have you found it on a map?
I also don't know what records to look for as there probable weren't birth certificates. etc. Matthew's dates are Jan 6, 1828 to April 12, 1898.
