The dates are rather early but the general facts about a German Newspaper in Baltimore is too close to ignore. My cousin was visiting memories of the past when he remembered the newspaper. I will ask him if possibally it could have been his Mom's Grandfather that his Mom was talking about. That would fall into place very well.

Have you had the opportunity to review the Baltimore census's from 1870 to 1920 as yet in search of this family?

Other than the Library of Congress is there a place that you are aware of where I could see a copy of or get a copy of the referenced 15th Annual Report.

As you most likely noted in another forum message I am looking for parents of a Leyh who had Edward, Unice, Elizabeth and Iris. This may just lead to the Edward in your message.

If you have anything else in your files, I would appreciate hearing from you. Even the smallest detail may be the key. Jim Drury
