John Henry Leyh or Henry Ley as he was known, married Margaret Elizabeth Lendig in 1854. Originally from Germany, he emigrated in 1850, met his wife in Pittsburgh, Pa, in 1852,who was also from Germany and settled in St. Paul, MN in 1854. They had children Frederick b. 1855, Rose (Pauli) b. 1858, George b. 1860, Adam b. 1862, Henry b. 1865, Bertha (Heron) b. 1865, Clara (Dinwoodie) b. 1869, and Louis b. 1872. They had 3 children who had died in infancy, Mary, Edward and Franklin. I have posted a link to their descendants, elsewhere in this forum.
