Ezra L'Hommedieu Southhold, Long Island

I am not a L'Hommedieu researcher, but for those who are, here is an interesting tidbit found in the latest issue of the New York Genealogical and Biographical RECORD, Vol 136, #4. There is an ongoing article entitled "Deaths from THE LADIES' MISCELLANY or THE WEEKLY VISITOR, New York, 1811," which lists death notices that appeared in this old periodical. On p.297 of the RECORD, there is the following entry:

Saturday, October 5, p.382 [of the original]
"Died: At his seat, Southhold, (L.I.) the Hon. Ezra L'Hommedieu, aged 77 years. He has left a widow and one child. He has served in public life upwards of 33 years, and has been absent but one year in that time."
