For your infomation the olden day Chineses valued "gung ming" over wealth. Also during the Qing dynasty "gung ming" can be purchased.

Arding to what you wrote clans or families would be changing their generation poem as clan or family member moved up in the royal court?

Now tell me what do you think the purpose of the generation poem was?
