Licht to Brazil 1828-29

I am interested in the Licht family in the neighbourhood of Baumholder.
I did not have any precise information about the date or the place my ancestors came from, but some years ago, a friend in Canada suggested that Baumholder could be a nice place to search.
Some objective data I got in the last years.
The German immigrants I am interested on are Karl Licht and his wife Anna Maria. They left the city of Rio de Janeiro to the German Colony of Saint Leopold (now the city of Sao Leopoldo) in the Province of Rio Grande (now the State of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil) in end of March or the beginning of April, 1829, along the son Johann Peter Conrad and the dougther Johanna Franziska. So they probably arrived in Rio de Janeiro in the middle or the ending of 1828.
Karl and Anna Maria are not registred in the book of passengers arrival in the Sao Leopoldo Colony, so I believe they died in the boat trip from Rio de Janeiro to Sao Leopoldo. Johanna Franziska surely died in the end of June, 1829, in Sao Leopoldo.
Their son Johann Peter Conrad, became the seed of the Licht family branch in the center region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (cities of Santa Maria, Tupanciretan, Rosario do Sul, Santo Angelo) with a number of descendants.
His brother, Peter Nikolas Licht, was my great-great-grand-father (Otavio - myself-, son of Henrique, grand-son of Pedro, great-grandson of Philipp, great-great-grandson of Peter Nikolas). I dont know anything about him, before 1836, when he is registered in a monthly list of german volunteers of the Civil War in the Rio Grande do Sul province.
This is a brief from the beginning of the Licht Family in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, southern Brazil. I have in my file, approximately 1200 descendants of the couple Karl and Anna Maria, but disconnected from their roots in German.
If you could help me in any way, I will be deeply thank to you.

Best regards from Brazil

Friendly

Otavio Augusto Boni Licht
