Hi Ramona,
My great, great, great grandmother was Anna Maria (Licht) Bender. She immigrated to the US in 1858 and settled in Henry, Illinois. She is buried in the old St. Mary's cemetery there. She came from Mannebach, Germany with her son, Johann Peter Bender, and his family. Her husband, Peter, (as far as I know) didn't come to the US. Do you know anything about your Mathias Licht as to any of his ancestors. I haven't been able to get any information on Anna Licht Bender's siblings but am in contact with a cousin in Germany who is trying to do research for me. It is slow going. Best regards, Sue
