Robert's Grandson, my Great, Great Grandfather, Robert Pugh Lide; Robert's son James Lide; and James' son Eli Hugh Lide, and families and many others removed to Carlowville Alabama in 1835 where both sides of my family, the Lides and the Rowell's remained until the end of the Twentieth Century. My paternal GGGrandfather, Wiley Rowell led the Lide fieldhands(slaves)from the Darlington/Peedee, South Carolina district to Carlowville Alabama in 1835, where he also remained as did many of his decendants. (The Lides Go South...and West)

I Would certainly like to join the site you are proposing.
