I proved the correct genealogy over 15 years ago.
You are correct.
Mary and John Crawford were the Lide brothers' aunt and uncle.
Correct genealogy is:
1. Robert Lide, d. 1722-24, Charles City Co., VA
m. Elizabeth
Children:
1. John
2. Sara m. neighbor Joseph Wade
2. John Lide/Loyde (sp. both way in records & will)
d. 1741-2, Bertie Co., NC
m. Sarah Duke, b. ca. 1710, James City Co., dau. of
Thomas and Elizabeth (Marston) Duke of James City Co.
Sister of Mary Duke Crawford.
Children:
1. John, d. 1730
2. Thomas, b. 1732
3. Robert, b. 1734
4. Elizabeth, birth date unknown

After John's death, Sarah sold the NC homestead, all animals, etc. May have moved back to VA. Nothing further found of her. Did she remarry?
In 1755, the Lide brothers sold remaining VA and NC land and moved to Craven Co., SC with sister Elizabeth and John and Mary Crawford and their son Thomas Crawford.
John and Thomas were already married in 1755, Robert a bachelor.
I've posted more info elsewhere on this site.
