Dear Carol,
My great-grandfather, Franz Karl Lieb was born at Momlingen. on 29 Nov 1861. He married Josephine Nichols of Stockheim, and went to Elizabeth, NJ about 1881, perhaps with his uncle Beda Geigerich, also of Momlingen.

I hired a professional researcher in Wirzburg who traced the Lieb family of Momlingen to 1688. I have two descents from the Geigerich family of Momlingen. This family has been well researched. They were originally tile makers in nearby Eisenbach, during the 1500's.

There is possibly a descent from Johann Philip Lieb, who was Zahlmeister to the Archbishop of Mainz. His son, Jeremias Lieb, was Goveror of the Bachgau (which includes Momlingen) about 1650.

I would be happy to share what I have.
