Daniel Lieb in Arkansas

My gggg grandfather was Col. Daniel Lieb.
He is listed on a Scott County, Illinois war memorial as having served in the Black Hawk War. (1831-1832).
A biography of another of my relatives states that he was born in Germany and was a Colonel in one of the "German wars".
His daughter, Jane Ann Lieb Winningham, was my ggg grandmother.
The family moved from Springfield, Illinois to Arkansas after someone had cheated Daniel out of his money and large house. They probably moved around 1834. (That is just a guess.)
He died in 1844 in Randolph County, Arkansas.
I don't know his wife's name or any other children.
