I was told that my great grandfather Gustave Liebman's father was a German immigrant. I saw your posting and it aroused some curiosity.

Here is a post that I placed in the Liebman Family Forum some time ago:

I'm looking for information concerning my great grandfather Gustave Liebman from Baltimore, Maryland. His father was a German immigrant, however I know nothing else about him. Gustave married Bessie Luhn from Montgomery County, Maryland. He fought in the Spanish-American War and was held prisoner for some time. He was a cabinetmaker by trade and resided in Baltimore. He and my great grandmother had one son and three daughters. Daughter #1 Ruth born around 1901, died in an auto accident around 1929. Daughter #2 Dorothy born in 1903, died around 1980. Daughter #3 Ann (my grandmother) born in 1907, died March 1999. Son Gus twin to Ann born in 1907, died in 1975. My great-grandfather passed away in the early 1940's. I have several photographs of him.

Please reply if you know of the Liebman/Liebermann family or have any information you can help me with.
