Banner day in my Lightner research. Found an obit for henry Lightner drummer boy at Ft McHenry during the bombardment which proved he is my gr gr gr granfather. His wife was Martha Roberts, he had 16 children, three names known, my gr gr grandmother Keziah Lightner Varley, married to William Eccleston,a dau Elizabeth Lightner, married to Richard McCullough, and a son William. Henry Lightner's father is shown as John Michael Lightner and was also a drummer boy during the Revolutionary War. This John Michael Lightner was born in Lancaster PA in 1761 and died in Balto. He married Anna margaret Gumph. His pedigree is posted on the LDS site and was declared an ancient family and very well docmented. John M Leitner / Lightner's parents were John Leitner and Esther Franciscus. esther Franciscus line has been traced back to 1385 with numerous sets of parents and grandpaents detailed into the 1400's and 1500;s. Please contact me for info on where this can be found and deatils about henry Lightner's descendants. Thanks Peggy Peters, Baltimore MD
