HI, I am wondering if you have heard anything about your LIGHTNER family since posting your query? I have an ELIZABETH LIGHTNER, b. 1815, in Pa.[don't know which county] Married Henry CRITES in STARK CO. OHIO, 1834, don't know ANYTHING about her parents or siblings, have looked for years, but this family [CRITES-LIGHTNER] had a definite connection in Sandusky County, HENRY'S parents dying there.[this near Burgoon] ELIZABETH died in Pulaski Co. Indiana, having lived in Wyandot County, Ohio, and their children having been born there. ALL that I know is that there is a PAUL LIGHTNER somewhere in the family, as he witnessed a legal document of ELIZABETH'S daughter, SARAH, but I haven't been able to trace him either. There are other LIGHTNERS in the NW Counties of Ohio, but just can't connect any of them, though there is probably a connection. IF you have learned ANY connection at all to ANY of them, will you please let me know? IF I can find any info, then I will have something to search with again! There were LIGHTNERS in Bucyrus, Crawford County, and some others too.]
THANKS, Margaret
