Anna M. Lightner was a daughter of Richard Claire Lightner and Bessie R. Mathiot (a daughter of Owen and Charlotte Mathiot of Harrisburg). Richard Claire Lightner, born Jan 1880 and died sometime betwee 1902 and 1910, was a son of Richard and Anna Lightner of Huntingdon county. Richard Sr. was born May 1853 and can be found with family in the 1900 Harrisburg census. Richard Sr's parents were Moses and Susannah Lightner, found in the 1860 - 1880 Huntingdon county censuses.

Bessie R. Lightner, widow of Richard Claire Lightner, is in the 1910 - 1930 Harrisburg censuses (with daughter Anna M. in both the 1910 and 1920)
