Thanks Ron. I appreciate the clarification.

Christina's grandaughter was my grandmother whose mother was Celia Jane Gunnels. She married John Vincent about 1870 or so and my grandmother Mary Francis Vincent was born the next year. She remembered Christina as an adult and passed on to me a descriptive detail that some of my cousins find quite offensive. So, I am hesitant to repeat it. However, she did say that Christina was, as she put it, "a full-blooded Dutch". We now know she meant Deutch as in German. A cousin in Texas sent me a rather extensive genealogy of both the LIKES and GUNNELS.
