I'm trying to find John Likens b bef 1795 of Virginia who could be tied into your Likens clan. According to my GGM: "John Likens had 9 half brothers in the South. Him and one sister were born to greatgrandpa's first wife and she died. His father married again and they had 9 boys. And them boys, they were in the South, fought against them (her uncles). During the Civil War cousins fought cousins." Jesse Mae Dilger Cardey, 1988. John's first wife is believed to be Margaret Davis. They were the parents of James Likens b January 10, 1812 in Washington County, Virginia. James married Artilla Crocker b abt 1826 near Kanhawa Salt Works, Virginia.
Thanks, George
