Thanks for this info. I would like to know more about Sarah and her parents and siblings. Is there a will of Isaac Merchant?

It's interesting that Bacon Burwell was on Sarah Merchant's marriage bond. Sarah's father was dead. Burwell was married to Priscilla Merchant, Sarah Merchant's first cousin and had only married Priscilla five years earlier. You might think one of Sarah's brothers would have given bond.

Also, Richard Merchant and wife Mary in Frederick County VA, who died bef Sep 1752. A lot of family researchers have said he is the same as Richard Marchant, weaver, in records in Baltimore who married the widow Mary Sweeting in 1723. How is this connection made? Or is it just because of the coincidence of names?
