Many researchers believe that all Likens come from two Swedish brothers who entered America to join the New Sweden Colony. They died in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. However, some Likens trace their roots back hundreds of years into Germany. I know one Likens who believes his family came from Ireland. If all three of these stories are true, there will be no short answer to finding the answer you seek. I'm still looking. Jim Likens
