I am a second cousin, seven times removed to Abraham Lincoln. I got a newspaper article I think from Logan cty genealogy society years ago about, Local woman submits interesting article. Mrs. Havener is writting the article about Mrs. Charles Wesley ( Malinda Ridgeway ) Fox. Malinda was born at Buffalo Hart, April 9, 1848, her father was Enoch Ridgeway and her mother was Mary Ellen Likens. Her forebearers were pioneers of centrall Illinois and her maternal grandmother Lizzie Likens was a cousin to Nancy Hanks Licoln. The article goes on to say, It was when a small girl at Buffalo Hart that Mrs. Fox first met Abraham Lincoln and she recalls visiting the Lincoln family in Springfield in late years. Mrs. Fox began reading the Illinois State Journal 73 years ago. I think the article was written in April of 1935 because of Malinda's 87th birthday. My mother told me that a family picture of Lizzie? Mary Ellen? used to hang in the Lincoln dining room, but they had redone the home and no one know anything. I don't know how to find out. Any questions? Pat
