By coincidence my father's name was John Lima, too. However, he was born in California (1922), though his father, Jose Correia Lima, was born on Graciosa Island in 1873. Jose's father, Manuel Correia Lima, was born on Graciosa as well (approximately 1838).

Jose's wife, my grandmother named Mariana Brebes, was born on Flores Island in 1888. There are not many Brebes left here in the U.S.A. or in the Azozres and Portugal.

I know of another John (Joao)Lima. He was Jose's brother who died as a young child. That is all I know about him.

Just thought you might find this information interesting
