Hi, I am researching my husband's ancestors. His great great grandmother was a Mary Augusta Liming b. November 18, 1879, Allentown, Monmouth, NJ and died on July 26, 1944 in Monmouth Co. She married Charles Gifford.

Have you ever come across her name?

I came across a Liming website a little while ago (I'll have to search for the address) but they had some interesting info.

John Liming b. 1650, England imm. to Allentown, Monmouth, NJ d. 1690 m. ca. 1680 Prudence Wainwright dau. of Thomas Wainwright and Alice Havens.

John and Prudence had 3 sons:

John Jr. b. 1683, Monmouth, NJ d. Nov. 6, 1773 m. June 14, 1757, Freehold, NJ m. Dinah DeWilde b. 1694, Lambeth, Surrey, Eng.

William b. 1686 d. Jan. 20, 1747 m. 1726 Deborah Salter dau. of Richard Salter and Sarah Bowne of Monmouth Co.

Thomas b. 1689 d. April 27, 1772 m. 1710 Hannah Salter

Your Ephraim Liming and my Mary Augusta are probably descended from one of these brothers. Just can't figure out which one.

It seems that they would definately descend from John and Prudence Wainwright Liming.

Hope this helps.
