After I sent my reply to you I checked the 1900 census for your Mary Augusta Liming Gifford. I don't know if you have checked this, but I did find her listed with her husband, Charles E., and 2 children (Earl O. and Lottie) in Brick Township, Ocean County. She was listed as 23 not 20 as she should have been if she were born in 1879. Her birthdate was listed as November 1876. She was also listed only as "Augusta". Thought you might want this info in case you didn't have it. Also, I guess I didn't answer you question before: no I have never come across the name of your husband's grandmother before. But I also haven't worked this line that much. Let me know if this helps you.
