Hi Phyllis,

I just got a birth certificate for an unnamed Liming child (no name usually means it was stillborn) for the parents of Samuel N. Liming and Eliza Jane Brown and it says mother born in North Carolina. The birth was Dec 27, 1878 in Brown Co. IL. Must have been just before then moved to Kansas. The certificate also says this was the 13th child of the mother!
What source do you have for Baker?
