The following is an extract (pages 40-41 and 71-72) of LINDAMOOD FAMILY HISTORY, compiled and published by J. William Harpine in 1965. I'm into about 3 weeks of a 30-day inter-library loan from the Library of Virginia. So, I'm trying to digest the contents in the remaining time of my loan.
This book contains family records of two brothers, Christopher (my ancestor) and Andrew (possibly the father of the Andrew in your query). These pages may even confuse you more. I'm now loading the hundreds of names into a computer for sorting. When I do have it loaded I'll be glad to share the results with you.
The excerpt:
CHAPTER III
Andrew Lindamood and his descendants
Andrew Lindamood’s wife’s name was Christena. They were farmers and at his death he owned 456 acres of land. They were members of the Lutheran Church and worshiped at Zion's Church about two miles north of Hamburg. He was one of the church trustees. His land was south and west of Christopher Lindamood's land. At one time it included the Reuben Bauserman farm, the George Foltz farm, the James Ross farm and some timber land on Buck Hill. It is assumed that he built the log dwelling that stood near the large spring now owned by Harry H. Bauserman. He is buried in the Lindamood graveyard.
His last Will and Testament was written February 11, 1815 and probated February 7, 1824. In his Will he mentions his five children--two sons and three daughters. He gave to his two sons--Andrew and Michael all of his real estate which consisted of 225 acres, 150 acres and 81 acres. To his three daughters--Barbara and Elizabeth 50 pounds each and to Christena 30 pounds.
Their children

Andrew Lindamood (2) lived on the 81 acre farm that was purchased from Joseph Ryman in1803 later known as the James C. Ross farm.
Mr. Lindamood was a farmer and was married. (We were unable to find who his wife was.) They had a family of at least six children. They were members of the Lutheran Church. He was a successful farmer.
The writer found on a fly leaf in a German Bible published in 1792 owned by Harry H. Bauserman the following concerning his family.
Christena Lindamood (3) b. Feb. 15, 1818.
George A. Lindamood (3) b. Dec. 17, 1819.

Maria (Mary) Lindamood (3) b. May 30, 1824.
Isaac Lindamood (3) b. April 26, 1827.
Likely, the above named six children--three sons and three daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lindamood, Jr. constituted all of the children.
