My gggrandfather was Pauline's brother.I don't know what other info you have, but I can point you to some sources and share what I have with you.If you are near Blanco or Austin, TX, look for a copy of "Heritage of Blanco County, Texas", which is a compilation of family stories, some accurate, some not.The LINDEMANs are covered by several branches in this book. Also look at "Blanco County Families for 100 Years".
My own family stories say that Pauline (or Paulina) was a twin to Maria, both born on the voyage over to Texas from Germany in 1846 on the ship, Johanna.Maria supposedly died shortly after birth and was buried at sea.The twins were the youngest of 12 children born to John Andreas LINDEMAN and Eva DECKNER (or OAKNER).There are several stories about Eva's fate, but one is that she died of cholera shortly after landing near Independence, TX.The 12 children were:1. John Andreas, Jr. (see message #71 of this forum); 2. Eva (or Effie?); 3. Margaretha; 4. Adam August; 5. Anna "Annie"; 6. Edward "Edd" (who is my gggrandfather); 7. Friederike "Rika"; 8. Hermina Rasine "Mina"; 9. Henrich Christian "Henry"; 10. Carl Julius; 11. & 12. the twins.Family stories say that after Eva's death, the family lived in Schumansville for a short time before moving to Blanco, Co., TX.
I am happy to scan and email copies of what I have to you if you would like further details about this family.Let me know.Hope that this is helpful to you.
