LINDENFELSER Family of St. Michael, Minnesota

Adelbert “Albert” Lindenfelser married Anastasia (possibly called Eustsia) Kasper February 8, 1816 Katholisch, Ersingen, Karlsurhe, Baden, Germany. They had two sons: John born April 11, 1831 and Alexander born July 18, 1834. Alexander was christened July 20, 1834 Katholisch, Ersingen, Karlsruhe, Baden, Germany.

Alexander emigrated to America with his brother John, in 1854. Alexander married in about 1861 to Catharina “Kate” Durr. They had the following children: Mary 1862; Joseph 1864; Henry 1865; Ottillie 1867; Alexander 1870; Regina February 29, 1872; Christ April 15, 1873; John “Adam” July 6, 1874; Nicklas June 3, 1876; and Rosa E. December 1, 1878. Alex’s family moved to Hampton when the railroad was being built. The businesses in 1896-97 lists Lindenfelsers as blacksmiths. Alex died March 18, 1921, a retired farmer. His wife, Kate, preceded him in death.

Johann “John” Lindenfelser married Magdelena Halter on August 29, 1859. They had had two sons. Frank was born August 3, 1860 and died September 15, 1913; he married Mathilda who was born in 1866 and died in 1931. Augustine John “John” born July 28 or 31, 1862.

Augustine John “John” Lindenfelser married Magdalena Becker and they had: Paulina born January 6, 1884; Adelheid Emilia “Emily” born January 7,1886; Monica born December 29, 1887; Adam Joseph “Joseph” born December 8, 1890 (1899 according to the 1900 census); Veronica born February 18, 1892; Kate Magdelene “Mary” was born October 6, 1893; Cunnigunda Annie “Cuny” (it’s Kunnigunda according to the 1900 census and Cunigunda according to the prayer card from her wake) born October 20, 1895, Amanda E. (Alalia according to the 1900 census) born May 29, 1897; Andrew George “Fishie” (Andereas according to the 1900 census) was born December 23, 1898; Scholastica Appolonia (Celestine) “Lusty” born April 13, 1902; Reinhold “Reiny” (John Raymond) born December 19, 1904; and Elizabeth Adeline “Adeline” born August 12, 1906.
