Kristy Lindenfelser, where are you getting your information? Here is where mine came from:

-The 1880 census of Frankfort Township shows that Alexander was 48, a farmer and was married to Kate who was 38.

-Henry Lindenfelser, son of John "Adam" Lindenfelser, did indeed marry Christine Dehmer. Henry E. Lindenfelser born April 26, 1909 (There is a Henry Lindenfelser buried at St. Alberts who was born in 1892 and died in 1955. The headstone reads “Father.” Next to him is Christine Lindenfelser born 1893 and died 1980. The headstone reads “Mother.” There is a headstone there that reads Henry A. Lindenfelser died December 9, 1958. Joseph A. Lindenfelers 1962 - 1968 is buried next to him). Henry married Christine Dehmer.

I did go down to Hampton and New Trier to take headstone photos as well.

-I'm looking at the Civil War Index and Magdalena received John's pension.

- I see a Department of the Interior, Bureau of Pensions form signed by John 4/23/1898 where he filled in his wife's name as Magdalena Halter.

-I have Magdalena's death certificate too which would name John Lindenfelser as her husband if I took the time to go through my book looking for it.

I like to document and then cross check with something else so my information will normally come from reliable sources like census, headstone photos and death certificates. Do you know Marlene Lindenfelser? She did an excellent Lindenfelser family tree and found some very good documentation on the Lindenfelser family. The Bureau of Pensions form I referred to above came from her. I have a lot more that show confirms that my great grandparents were indeed John and Magdalena Lindenfelser. I'd be glad to help you if I can.
