Hello,

My Great Grandmother was Catherine Lindenfelser b. 1847, d. 1924. She married Joanne Adam Gruber. The 1900 census for my grandfather John Adam Gruber Jr. shows that she was born in Ohio and Joanne Adam Gruber Sr was born in PA. Although, they later moved to Pittsburgh, PA.

I am trying to trace the Gruber family back to the American Revolution. I am a bit stumped right now because a record from the Diocese of Pittsburgh shows that John Adam Sr. was born in Darmstadt. This conflicts with the 1900 census for his son which states he was born in PA. Oh the agony and the ecstasy of finding the name of my Great Grandfather Joanne Adam Gruber.

If you have any info on either Catherine Lindenfelser or her husband Joanne Adam Gruber, I would greatly appreciate it.

The search goes on...
Karen
