Iva,
Here's what I have on your relatives:
Fredericka C. Lindenmoyer: -(progenitors-Philip Jacob Lindenmoyer)
Born in Germany 19 Sep 1811 (Tombstone reads b. 18 Aug 1812) immigrated from Germany in 1827 and died in Reading, PA. 17 Jun. 1860. Obit in the “Adler” 26 Jun edition and 3 July edition a German language newspaper at Berks Historical Society: Fredrica Moyer 17 Jun 48/9/29 w/o John-Rdg. Per Elizabeth Lindenmoyer’s Will of 1854: wife of Philip Jacob Lindenmoyer b. 28 Dec 1780 d. 1 Jan 1842, aged 61 yrs 4 days (in the first issue of “Alt Berke” German
newspaper and Elizabeth Lindenmoyer b. ca 1780 d. 8 Jun 1854 (Elizabeth was living with Catherine Phillips 78 in 1850 census) of Germany and Reading, PA. Wife of John Moyer of Reading, PA. Frederica wrote a Will on 2 June 1860 which is referred to in the Deed book Vol 78 pg. 462 the after she sold and rebought her property. Sisters of Fredericka are: Mrs. Christina Hentoken (Cadogan) b. 1800 d. 27 Mar 1876 in Germany (wife of William P. Hentoken m.1820 MauckChunck, PA) they had Jacob b.1821, John b.1825, Elizabeth b. 1826, Charlotta, 1833, Sophia 1836 all born in MauckChunck, Pa. They moved to Adams Co. Illinois and had Matilda 1838, Emma 1842 and Mary 1844.My GG grandmother was Sophia. She died Mar 20 1866 in Adams Co. Ill. She married
Phillip May of Nassau, Germany . Their children: Mearny, William Henry, Emma, Christiana and my grandmother Flora Matilda May born Sept 22, 1863 in Quincy, Ill. and died January 23 1947 in rural Stafford Co. KS. information from Iva Reihl reihlthing@myexcel.com and Mrs. Dorathea Straub b. 30 Jan. 1809,d. 1 May 1884and buried (Dorthy Lindenmaier) in Fowler, Adams Co. Illinois who was the wife of John Straub b. 12 Jul. 1807, d. 12 Jan. 1878. Doretha had a daughter Elizabeth Weidenhamer Straub.According to family history, John Jacob Weidenham(m)er Jr. & wife Elizabeth Lindenmoyer Weidenham(m)er left Penn. & went to near Defiance, Ohio, with John Jacob's brothers Samuel, William (?), & Charles Henry, & cousin Benjamin. My Great-Aunt Allie Jagger Schneider wrote: "Samuel the oldest with his family, his brother John Jacob and his family, brother Charles Henry who was single, and his cousin Benjamin went
to Ohio near Defiance...Again in 1838 they went to Illinois where our ancestor had already gone. Samuel did not like Illinois, so returned to Berk Co. [Penn.]and later settled in Luzerene Penn. It was cousin Benjamin who settled east of Defiance Ohio on the north bank of the Maumee River. The single brother Charles Henry while in Ohio married Nancy Taylor in 1848 [? actually 1838? Unlikely that he was married 3 years & had 7 kids]. He moved to Iowa where he located his family and went to California during the Gold Rush. In 1851 he was returning to his famly and died 20 miles from home. His widow left with seven children
moved to Quincy, Illinois. She died in1879. No information about this family except the names of their children: George, Jacob, Mary, Martha, Elizabeth, Nancy,
& Charles Henry." [I have some info. on other Weidenhamers in Quincy, but haven't put it all together yet].
Frederica’s sister Mrs. Elizabeth Margaretha (Lindermayer) Weidenhammer b. 27 Mar 1811 in Baden Baden, Germany d. 1898

newspaper gave more coverage to the motorcycle trip than to the wedding.
