Jim:
Thanks for your message. My grandfather, Nels Lindquist, was the youngest of the twelve Lindquist children from Sweden. They all immigrated to Chicago.John is the oldest son, but do not have a birth year for him but it is probably in the 1850's.I have information on all the other eleven children and their descendents.John lived in Maywood, which is a western suburb of Chicago. My father related that as a child his family would drive to Maywood to visit with John's family. The only child of John that I have is Charles who served in the army during WWI. Your wife's grandmother, Anna, may be one of John's children.Did Anna grow up in Maywood? When was Anna's birth year? Her birth certificate should show her parents name. She was probably Luthern and her confirmation certificate may show the parents name. Her confirmation certificate will show the name of the church and church records are good places to obtain information.Let me know what additional information you have because we can work through some of these other avenues. Her death certificate will show her parents name.If you know where she is buried, the cemetary records may show family information.
