Linda: I have a few questions about Isaac S. Lingo. I have a copy of a letter that he wrote Oct 23, 1854, to my g.g.grandfather, Calvin M. Morris in Hardin county, Tennessee. The letter mentions his marriage to Elizabeth Parrish on 12 Dec, 1844. Also that they had a son, Lawson, and that Elizabeth had died, I gather before 1850. The writer wants Calvin to tell his wife, who was Melissa, that Elizabeth had been living with her greatuncle, Isaac Harlan before they married. He also said tell Shed Parish that he needed to come to MO to see his grandson(Lawson). I found Sherod Parrish and family in the 1850 Hardin County, TN census. Now my questions, do you know anything about the Sherod Parrish family in TN, I'm trying to determine if my g.g.grandmother, Melissa was a daughter. Also do you know the connection of the Harlan-Parrish families.thanks for any help,Red Anthony, Arkansas
